Johaedi
Music artist
Johaedi, the artist whose name was born from the musical union of the names Johanna and Eding, signifying "love" in Ewondo, hails from Yaoundé, Cameroon, and has since established her creative world in Montreal. Her first forays into songwriting, in both English and French, date back to the age of 6. Today, her compositions evoke love, matters of the heart, growth, and identity. Johaedi draws from a kaleidoscope of musical influences - jazz, R&B, and afrobeat - blending inspirations from Norah Jones, Summer Walker, and Coeur de Pirate, while honoring the legacies of Richard Bona and Ayo.
