Before the production
I meet with my client to discuss their objectives and goals for the production. The more I know about the background and origin of the business or the person, the better it helps me to produce more precisely targeted content. Each individual and business are at different stages of development, so the preproduction meetings are a valuable resource. They produce a valuable evaluation of the “who, what, when, where, why and how” and precisely what the video is to represent. Often these meetings help me and the client unearth a missing or vital element of the campaign they want to create.
The recording is the most important part of the production but it is so much more than hitting the “Record” button.
The camera setup starts the day before the actual shoot. It is imperative to make sure that all of the necessary equipment will be packed properly and all the batteries are charged. After setting up the equipment, then we are ready to roll! The first few takes are test shots. This is when we show our clients how they look in front of the camera. During this process we can gage their performance, and give them suggestions to improve their facial expression, body language and message delivery.
The moment the editing starts we have to synchronize and combine all the elements including; the concept, the visuals, the audio so as to deliver the best results for release on the multiple platforms of the client’s promotional stream.
